My name is Kyrie Tompkins-Overlock, and I’m a designer & developer who lives in Central Maine.

I’ve been playing with code since I was a little girl – I got my start on Neopets, moved to MySpace, then dabbled in niche personal sites for ages. I’ve been working professionally as a designer/developer/general internet wizard for the last 16 years.

I call myself a “creative problem solver” because I’m weirdly good at thinking outside the box, and have done a little bit of everything. I’ve designed brands, done product photography, built massive online stores, and designed museum interactives. Even when I’m not coding, that logical part of my brain is running in the background, helping me wrangle complex, confusing problems into solutions that make sense.

I’m a giant nerd. Like “I still have my original N64 and Pokémon from 1999” kinda nerd. A “can name all 1025 Pokémon” nerd. I love technology, gaming, and getting lost in fantasy worlds. I’m also super girly. I love makeup and dresses, and my home is decorated with a cacophony of flowers, sparkles, plushies, and pastel colors. You’ll almost always find me with a pair of headphones, drowning out the world with either video game soundtracks or my Lord and Savior, Nick Jonas.

All in all, I try not to take myself too seriously. I’m just a silly girl with autism, a computer, and a knack for troubleshooting.
